The Central European Institute of Cosmology and Fundamental Physics (CEICO), at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, welcomes applications for Senior and Junior Postdoctoral Researcher positions.
CEICO is funded by a combination of grants awarded by various European agencies and national Czech funding bodies:
- In 2016, our project to create CEICO, Cosmology, Gravity and the Dark Sector, was selected in the competition organised by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic as grant number CZ.02.1.01/0.0/0.0/15_003/0000437. We are thus supported in the period 2017-2022 by a combination of funds from the European Structural and Investment Funds and state funds of the Czech Republic
- In 2014, Constantinos Skordis was awarded a 1.2Mil Euro ERC Consolidator grant for the project Theories and Models of the Dark Sector: Dark Matter, Dark Energy and Gravity. As of 1 Sep 2016, the Institute of Physics is the primary beneficiary (coordinator) of this grant.
- Martin Schnabl holds two grants from the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR) supporting the group’s work in string theory, conformal field theory and related areas in mathematics.
- Alexander Vikman holds the J. E. Purkyně Fellowship of the Czech Academy of Sciences to support his research in inflationary models of the early universe.
