The Central European Institute of Cosmology and Fundamental Physics (CEICO) at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague welcomes applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position.
The position is expected to start in September 2025 (starting as early as May is possible) with a standard contract duration of two years with a possibilty of one year extension. The monthly gross salary is 65 000 CZK from which tax, social and health insurance are deducted. We offer an annual 90 000 CZK (around 3500 EUR) travel budget. Candidates are expected to have completed a PhD degree in Physics, or a related field, before taking up the post.
We are particularly interested in candidates who work on Early Universe cosmology (e.g. origin of the Big-Bang, inflation, baryogenesis, generation of dark matter and of gravitational wave background).
As CEICO members, the successful applicants will have access to the team’s 2000 CPU core and multi-GPU computer cluster and be part of a vibrant team with an active visitor programme.

CEICO is a research centre within the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences focused on cosmology, gravity, string theory, and instrumentation for cosmological observations. The Cosmology and Gravity team is headed by Constantinos Skordis and comprises staff members Ignacy Sawicki, Alexander Vikman and Federico Urban as well as several postdocs and graduate students.
