The concordance cosmological picture tells us of an accelerating cosmic expansion at recent times driven by some form of Dark Energy, and of a Large-Scale Structure (LSS) formed through accretion of inhomogeneities in the distribution of matter, mainly constituted by Cold Dark Matter. Nonetheless, little is known about the nature of these two components.
The exquisite quality of data provided by the forthcoming galaxy surveys (Euclid, LSST, DESI, SKA) will call for a further test of this concordance model and will hopefully give answers.
My research concerns the extraction of the cosmological information encoded in the LSS clustering of galaxies in linear and non-linear scales. In particular, I am interested in using Monte Carlo Markov Chain methods to make forecasts, fit observational data and combine them with other datasets, in order to study tensions on the concordance model and also test alternative theories (Models of Dark Energy, Modified Gravity and Dark Matter).
